OSHA has recommended Outreach Training Program as an orientation to the occupational safety and health for workers. According to OSHA requirements, workers must receive extra safety training on the specific hazards of job.

The OSHA 10 hour training has been formulated by OSHA to help the workers to understand the basic practice of recognizing, reporting, reducing and eliminating the hazards associated with their workplace.

The 10 hour course of OSHA program is divided into:

• OSHA 10 hour General Industry course

• OSHA 10 hour Construction course

OSHA 10 hour General Industry course is recommended for the workers, job inspectors, foreman and supervisors. Students are introduced to the procedures of OSHA, standards and policies and the general industry safety and health principles according to the OSHA 29CFR 1910. The learning objectives of OSHA 10 hour General Industry safety course are introduction to OSHA, electrical safety, walking and working surfaces, emergency action plans, fire protection, materials handling etc.

The OSHA 10 hour construction course is designed to provide workers, supervisors and personnel’s training and knowledge about the tools required in their worksites for their health and safety. The 10 hour course for the construction workers target the most common topics that are covered under 29CFR.1926. The learning objectives of OSHA 10 hour construction course are introduction to OSHA, fall protection, scaffolds, trenching and excavations, materials handling, power tool use and guarding, stairways and ladders etc.

The OSHA 10 hour safety training courses are available both online and onsite. You can join either of the two ways to complete the safety training.
