There are many safety concerns at construction sites. The most common is the risk that involves the use of scaffolds. The workers in these jobs should be trained well and must be made aware of the accidents that occur due to falling debris and falls related to platforms that are unstable.

Workers should be given training for fall protection regularly. This is because, accidents related to falls occur often at construction sites. The OSHA online courses work just right for such trainings. Also, the employers should carry out annual inspections of fall protection equipments. Any signs of damage should be looked into correctly and treated accordingly.

Misuse of portable ladders causes injuries like broken bones and sprains. Extreme cases can even lead to death. Care should be taken to position them at correct angles. Any damage should be repaired before putting them to use. Respiratory hazards are another cause of concern.

First Aid, fire and welding safety are some of the other facilities that should be made available at construction sites. Also adequate training to workers should be given. Many employers give on-the-job training to their employees but workers can take up OSHA safety training courses voluntarily too.
